Failed L pond

We really wanted to give the fish even more room.  We decided on an ell-shaped pond to maximize the space we have on the patio (we keep them on the patio to stop birds from stealing them).  The liner we used was hard to work with and we tried several ways of fusing the gaps together.  Nothing we tried worked, and unfortunately the Koi being moved several times during these attempts overstressed them and we lost all of the koi.  Somehow Reggie the feeder goldfish survived the whole ordeal.  We used an inflatable pool in the garage for a temporary home for the few that did survive.  Unfortunately, hurricane Ida hit in August and the resulting power outage killed off the remaining fish except for Reggie (he's one tough fish).

Base complete.
